The author takes us through the Indian life and customs from cradle to death. He covered almost all aspects of life thru his narrative and gave practical interpretation and touch upon relevance of the same in current days. This book is an eye opener not only for non-Indians but also for Indians too. One gets insight into what our elders do and why of it. I too learnt many a new things from the book. Strongly recommend youngsters to read the book.
This book was great jumping point for my husband and I to discuss our upcoming trip to India. My husband is Indian and this book helped him tell me more about the culture using the antidotes provided. I feel I learned a lot from this book and will recommend it to my friends traveling to India.
