I would give a 2 star (I don't like it), but as someone else pointed out, the high rating on this book needs to come down. The biggest failure of this book is that the title is completely misleading. There is no engineering or physics in this book. You aren't going to get any more depth out of it than a magazine article, which is the authors background. I just can't recommend this book in any way. Even if you don't know anything about suspension and chassis dynamics, I suggest you go elsewhere because the descriptions are short and woefully inadequate, or even missing. The best drawings are on the cover, the others are too simple, but drawn to make them look "engineering like". That basically makes them garbage. I would spend several minutes looking at the basic diagrams trying to figure out what it was trying to show. I'm an engineer, so it's not a problem on my half. Only about 125 pages with large print, large spacing, and over-sized tables and drawings.

First of all I should say this isn't a terrible book. The main issue I had with it is that it is very oriented towards a type of racing and type of technology that isn't applicable to my interests.This is very "American" in terms of its content and point of view. The author is a former engineer for GM, came up through the production car ranks (true to form many references are made to "cost", which usually isn't the first concern of a racer) before stepping into racing, and the emphasis is on oval track cars, solid axles suspension types, and related topics. If you come from the world of independent suspensions and road racing, you might find it amusing when he refers to types of independent rear suspensions as "Corvette" and "Jaguar" and cringe when he illustrates how to bend axle housings on solid axles cars to change camber and toe "settings". Independent suspensions are given a cursory overview and treatment, but it's clear the author isn't as comfortable talking about them or have the depth of expertise as compared to other suspension alternatives.That said, I did learn more about the world of solid (or live) axle suspension types, while not directly useful to my pursuits, did expand my knowledge of how they work, the applications they are better suited for, and their comparative advantages to their independent cousins.If you are looking for a great alternative to this book, I highly, highly recommend Fred Puhn's "How to Make Your Car Handle" also available here on Amazon, of course. Ignore the kind of hokey title, it's packed full of useful, practical information and does an excellent job of explaining some pretty complex topics.

Herb Adams wrote this many years ago but it is still considered a bible among engineers to this day. Lost my copy from years ago and I am glad it is still available. If you are building something new or are thinking about it, you need this book. You will find out quickly why ladder frames are still used today and it is not because they are resistant to twisting.

This book goes into detail about custom chassis design. Specifically chassis made out of steel or aluminum tubing (space frame). Chapters are broken up into category of chassis design which shows and explains the strengths/weaknesses of each type of design. There is a somewhat negative tone about sprint car chassis design throughout the book, pretty much everything you shouldn't do when designing a chassis for safety and strength. Throughout the book they mention over and over again the importance of geometric shapes and designing to the strengths of each shape. The last chapter is about composite chassis (carbon fiber/fibreglass/kevlar). Overall I feel I have learned a great deal about designing a custom chassis and I feel fairly confident at actually getting to the point of creating my very own.

This is a very useful book that provides some valuable insights on how to improve the handling of your street car or race car. It is readable, understandable information that cuts through the speed market crap about how to get real handling performance without creating a powered rock. Some of the changes I was planning probably would have had little performance effect but really hurt the cars ride. The book is a little dated but basics don't change and that understanding is key. My only wish was there would have been a little more info on shock tuning.

Book is okay. I am a beginning hot rod builder and maybe not the best rater based on my "one of a kind" build, however I found the major focus to be on race cars. as for building your own chassis, they "push" you to buy one done. I am dead set on doing it myself because I am using c4 rear corvette suspension and c5 front. there is no way around building my own. This book was only so helpful in my application.

Awesome information for someone looking to get into chassis building. Takes an elementary approach to explaining the physics and engineering of racing chassis and, while not expressly detailed, applicable to offroad builders too!

This is a very funny book. Also, it's got some of the best use of design and illustration that I've seen, ever!These are classic fairy tales with a spin. Some have me literally laughing out loud.And it's a beautifully designed book, where everything works in sync to make the stories their most effective.

I bought this book, along with The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, for my daughters when they were first released decades ago. As I recall, both books were read until they completely wore out. Now I have a crazy, funny, wild 8 yr old grandson who loves fart jokes but otherwise is developing a great sense of humor. He’s been pretty resistant to reading but absolutely loves these books. The reading level challenges him but he’s motivated to master the individual stories because they’re tied together with funny comments by “The Narrator.” He studies and analyzes the illustrations. His older sister rolls her eyes (she’s one of those superior chapter-book-a-day readers) but secretly enjoys these two books almost as much as her brother. I highly recommend this book for all kids...probably between the ages of 5 and 10 or 11.

I'm currently 21 years old when I decided to buy this book. I remember having this read to me when I was in elementary school by one of my teachers for the first time ever. It's quite a different book than what I was used to, but I really liked it and also ended up reading it for myself. That was the only time I had saw and read the book in my life until I seen a picture of it being shared all over on Facebook, recently. So of course I decided to buy it here on Amazon. I just got in the mail and because I'm also sick at the moment, it was an enjoyable book (again) to read in bed. ^_^ Now I cannot wait to read this to my future children!

my children who are now 21 and 19 had this book in the paperback edition as children, it was one of there favorites. The Stinky Cheese Man is such a fun, silly tale and their favorite from all the stories in the book. I still have their original copy stored away and that's where it will stay for a treasured memory. I purchased this copy to pass on to my new/first grandchild, Easton Ray will grow up with a love for The Stinky Cheese Man! He's only 3 1/2 months old but, already smiles when he hears "run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the stinky cheese man". Just a wonderful book for children and I think some of the adults will love it too. Award winner for a reason!

I remember reading this in Elementary school, a lot of fun to read with friends, classmates, or just by yourself. This book is more of a PARAODY of classic fairy tales, like the ginger bread man, Jack and the Bean Stock, The ugly Duckling, The Tortoise and the Hare, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Chicken Little, and others. A Great read for Older kids who are tired of the Disney stories read to them over and over again.

My children often request this book because it says "stupid" int he title which is a word I do not allow them to say in the house. I don't know why I purchased the book but I guess I heard about it before and wanted to see what all the noise was about. It's okay. A little confusing if you like to read stories out of order since the book is sort of an interlocking story altogether. Whatever gets them excited about stories!

This book is hilarious and children love it. It is a bunch of mixed up fairy tales that are goofy and wonderful. I use it in my 2nd--3rd grade drama classes and we make plays out of the hilarious tales. Highly recommended by this experienced teacher. Parents, drama teachers, Grade 1-3 teachers--it gets belly laughs all the time and the stories are simple enough to act out while kids put their own spin on the tales...wonderful book!

Vaguely remembered The Stinky Cheese Man being a story, so I looked it up and bought it. It appeals to my slightly warped sense of humor, while at the same time giving my daughters an interesting (but appropriate) spin on classic fairly tales.

4 years later...Omggggggg how I've missed these two men. I mean, they will always be one of my favorite couples in ALL of the romance genres, but revisiting them again after all this time was the best gift EVER!! I read EVERY word, no skimming because WHO WOULD DO THAT?! Like seriously, if you don't soak up every word of this book, I question your sanity because hello, it's Logan and Tate!We started this journey with Logan and Tate four years ago, when they first crossed paths and broke through barriers to start a beautiful journey together, I also joined on this journey with them as a reader. So it's kind of crazy that Tease takes place literally four years after the first book was released.With both Logan and Tate's careers at their peak, they're feeling pulled too much in the wrong direction. Realizing how hard it is to make their relationship a priority, they make strides to rectify this immediately! It's hilarious how after all this time that Logan is still surprised at the fact that Tate knows him so well, like he's shocked that he's still in a committed relationship. His insecurities still linger just below the surface and Tate handles him SO well. They really are perfect for each other, like when bossy Tate comes out it makes Logan crazy(in the best way!) and I just ADORE how balanced they make each other!Omg can this woman write a sex scene or what?! Talk about the best slow burning, sensual, sexy as hell, hot and bothered thing you will read between two people! The pure carnal desire that these two have for each other is like some sublime force that will never die and never get old. Never. Ever. Tate with his silky curls and Logan and his smart mouth, and their sexy banter filled with sexual innuendos and puns. NEVER. GETS. OLD.All of the characters you know and love are back, along with some we don't love so much, and some newbies too! We get to really see who they are today and how they've grown and evolved, and how that intertwines with Logan and Tate's life present day. One of these moments was extremely emotional for me and that just proves what the power of a fictional story can do for a very real life, I was surprisingly moved by a certain scene and I found it to be very therapeutic for me personally. And I think with this book specifically, that will happen for a lot of readers for several different reasons. That's why I love books so much, because reconnecting with these characters feels just like coming home.When Ella Frank announced that we were getting THREE more books in the Temptation series, I just about had a heart attack, and I cried tears of joy, like legitimate tears running down my face. Tease was done SO well, and in my opinion, was a great beginning of a continuation-story that promises to be a great ride! I'm beyond excited to see what the next book in the series has to offer us lucky readers. So thank you Ella, for taking me back to my happy place with Logan and Tate, it was such a warm comfy place to be (and totally hot too). True fans of these guys will absolutely devour this book, and you should because it's AMAZING and wonderful and ALL the adjectives.

The Boys are back!!! God. GOD. I have no idea where to start, I'm a mess. *takes a deep breath*It's always so hard to do a book justice with your review if you love the characters and their journey like I adore these two. From the first book on Ella Frank's spellbinding, charismatic heroes of her Temptation series took my heart away and have refused to give it up again ever since. When I heard that this author would continue her amazing MM Romance I squealed. And did the Carlton dance.Of course, there is always a bit of apprehension when an author decides to continue with the story of a couple he or she left in a happy place. So you might wonder if these books are necessary. Well, if you remember, there were a couple loose ends in the last three books I definitely think that there is enough material there to continue writing more Logan & Tate.The story starts around four years after we left them. I am not going into plot details because I think the experience will be even better if you go in blind. Just trust Ella that she will do right by them. What I can say, however, is that Logan and Tate are in a good place. They love each other unconditionally, are devoted and as committed as commitment-phobe Logan allows. And Tate is more than OK with that - he has Logan's utter devotion and it's going both ways.Logan is his usual arrogant and filterless self but there is a new layer of, let's call it maturity, to him that makes him so absolutely irresistible. For all his cockiness he always looks out for Tate. He gives his best friend and lover room to work out his problems. Logan is the most endearing when he shows his sweet side, which mostly his bartender is on the receiving end of. And he has a ginormous heart. Logan is also so utterly adorable when he shows his insecurities and worries. But all this together makes this complicated man so human and wonderful. And it doesn't hurt that he is hot AF. In clothes and in bed.Tate is still the easy-going, considerate and level headed and wonderful man. He calms the storm in Logan and always knows the right things to say when the love of his life needs reassurance. Tate isn't any less captivating. He stands his ground with the intense Logan. The curly gorgeous man knows how much his lawyer loves to be teased and makes use of this knowledge often. Which more often than not lands them both in bed. And holy moly, when Tate gets authoritative and commanding it's like my Kindle catches fire. This guy's heart is just as big as Logan's.Together they are like a well oiled machine. They just work. Their attraction is strong as ever and so primal, raw and hot. They play rough but they play, what comes out of their mouths is positively filthy. It will leave you panting but coming back for more. But they can also be sweet and tender with each other and I have yet to decide which side of Logan and Tate I love more. They are just perfect and I'd totally be the turkey in their sandwich if they asked me.We get to catch up with Cole and Rachel. I loved to see them again with their kids and how close they have become with Logan and Tate. We also see a familiar name return in this story and a new one and I have strong suspicion that we will see a new series or book about them in the future. Yes, we do get some reminders of events from the first three books but I found those necessary to ultimately move this story forward. The banter is, as always, hilarious.Ella Frank can throw any book at me and I'll gladly read it. I can completely immerse myself in her stories and don't want to come up for air. Now the waiting begins for the next part in Tate's and Logan's journey. Until then...

I was so excited. the TRY series was my first M/M series. I even own the first three paperbacks. I love the story so much, Tate & Logan: YUM.TEASE: not so much. I mean it wasn't bad, but it took me days to read a book I normally would consume in hours. Number one would be the use of the word SEXY. I lost count. We know. Tate finds Logan sexy, repeating it over & over again is unnecessary. I also felt this book was a rushed effort. And I NEVER thought I would say this but it had way TOO MUCH sex and not enough content. I would have enjoyed this much more if it was a story about them and less about how much sex they have. It worries me there are two more books after this. I'm not sure if I want to continue because I have so much love for the original three.
