Ms. Catherine Aragon has taken what normally would have been a boring experience for children just running from one visitor site to another in Washington, D.C. into an engaging fun educational experience. Using the idea that children love going on scavenger hunts in the backyard, in a park or anyplace else.In this book its readers become Special Agents who have been assigned the task of finding the items listed and observing what they see in order to answer the specific questions being asked. In order to assist them need to follow the instructions being given to them by their case officers [their parents] and go to accompany their case officers wherever they decide will be the next location to complete their assigned task; even though the book has already listed all the sites they’d eventually need to go.This book gives the basic important information anyone needs to know about each of the sites being visited, that adults visiting Washington, D.C. alone could actually use this as an educational guidebook for themselves. For educating all of its readers, both the adults and children, regarding the location for the United States government, and helping them to hit all of the important tourist sites; I’ve given Ms. Aragon 5 STARS.I’ve read this book via a KINDLE Unlimited download.NOTE: Reading this book via the KINDLE edition will require a small pocket notebook to track of the points being received for the successful completion of each assigned task.

I bought this for my 10 year old son and nephew before our trip to Washington DC this summer. They loved it! We reviewed each place in the book prior to going there so we'd know what to look for & it made them excited for each "mission". Actually, we were all excited to finish each mission together! Now that it's filled out, we've kept it for a lifelong memory of our trip!

My 10 year old daughter loved this while we were visiting DC. She was engaged with the book and her surroundings, and had the entire family helping her look for specific items. It took us to some monuments and buildings we were not planning on visiting originally, and we all learned some extra history through it. If your vacation is centered on your kids, this is a must have. We wanted our kids to get the most out of the visit and this certainly helped. She is already making plans to visit again.

This was such a fun way for us to explore DC! Our kids were engaged and focused and we were able to see and learn so much because they were excited to complete another mission. Our children are 5 and 7 and we were able to complete 11 missions and a few "Anytime Missions", covering a good portion of DC and things that were interesting to them. So fun! We will definitely keep this series of books in mind for our travels in the future!

My daughter, who hates museums, enjoyed hunting for various objects and earning points. We gave her a certain amount of money for each point. She then could purchase souvenirs or snacks on the trip. I recommend this book for kids in the 6th grade and under.

My 5 and 6-year olds loved this book. It made touring DC really fun and interesting for them. While they are still learning to read, the books were filled with enough photos to keep them engaged. My only critical comment/request would be to add answers to the questions somewhere in the book. I also think some of the clues etc could've been slightly more relevant to the site but that could just be a function of my age group. Lots for a parent to build on from the book - secret agent badges, etc. Thanks!

We just got back from a trip to D.C. with our nine-year-old daughter, and she LOVED having this book with her! It really encouraged her to look for details and hunt for information. She was very focused and intentional, and my husband and I learned more by helping her as well. She was thrilled and proud when she earned "special agent" status. It's a small, thin book and fit easily into her backpack. This is a great asset if you're heading to D.C. with kids of a similar age.

This was an amazing book for our 10-year old son when we went to DC. It made boring historical monuments come alive. He actually made us stay at the monuments and museums longer than we wanted to because he had more facts to find so he could complete the assignments in the book. A child actually outlasted the adults thanks to this book. We didn't get to see all of the sites so we are taking it with us again on the next trip. He is looking forward to going back and finishing the assignments. This is a must for any parent to make the trip exciting for a child.

Our eleven year old used it some but not as much as I hoped. She read it through on the trip there though.
